What is endocrinology?
Endocrinology is a branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis and treatment of hormonal disorders. These disorders can significantly affect bodily processes and lead to the development of diseases, such as:
- Diabetes (diabetes mellitus)
- Thyroid diseases
- Osteoporosis (especially in women after menopause)
Early diagnosis and identification of hormonal deviations are extremely important, as they allow treatment of individual hormonal disorders to start as soon as possible and prevent the onset of diseases. For those who have symptoms, it is important to easily seek out the nearest specialized center. The quickest way to obtain this information nowadays is to use the internet.
New website endokrinologie.cz
Today, there are many specialized health topics explained with regard to the general public. A quality, accessible, and modern website is necessary for their presentation. This is why the Czech Endocrinology Society chose a website from us. This is not our first project in the healthcare domain. In past years, we created, for example, the website detskydiabetes.cz for the Motol University Hospital. For the medical faculty of Charles University, we also created the web presentation stressechohk.com for an international cardiology conference.
Among e-commerce projects, we can mention the e-shop magistra.cz for an association of over 250 pharmacies across the Czech Republic, which offers over-the-counter medications, dietary supplements, and prescription medications.
We started the project with an entry analysis as usual
We analyzed the original pages, their traffic, content, and quality of individual pages from an SEO perspective. We set the marketing goals of the project and suggested the structure of the new pages.
With the client, we selected the following marketing goals for the project:
- to represent the Czech Endocrinology Society in a representative and modern way taking into account the visual identity of the society represented by the new logo
- to motivate users to visit and inform about news and events organized by the Czech Endocrinology Society
- to allow easy searching for the nearest endocrinological center throughout the Czech Republic, including direct contacts for individual departments
Subsequently, we created a wireframe with the content structure and after its approval, also the graphics of the new website in line with the visual identity of the society.
The websites are technically built on a CMS internally developed by us at Digital Media Publishing. This allows us to flexibly respond to individual client requests and effectively optimize the website in terms of speed and overall quality. Feedback on how well we are succeeding in this is provided, for example, by the so-called Page speed insights rating from Google.
On the new website, we simplified navigation in topics for both professionals and the general public. We accelerated the process of finding the nearest specialized centers for consultations or specialist care. We clarified current topics and events held under the Czech Endocrinology Society. Last but not least, we made browsing the website more pleasant on mobile devices.
