We help digitize the Czech Catholic Church

News portal cirkev.cz
We decided to help the Catholic Church in this regard and offer it our experience and know-how in the design and management of large web projects. One of our first significant clients was the Czech Bishops' Conference, for which we created a new logo in 2016 along with a modern news portalwww.cirkev.cz. Its goal is to provide information about church events in the Czech Republic and around the world and to inform the public in a modern way, typical for today's time.
The news portal cirkev.cz aggregates news and events from the regions (so-called parishes and dioceses) in addition to its own content. News and events can be clearly filtered by topics, dates, and locations. The portal also offers audiovisual content and a database of documents that are used, for example, by students of the Faculty of Theology at Charles University. The latest information on the site is complemented by a Twitter feed that aggregates posts from church organizations and prominent figures.

Platform for diocesan websites
At the regional level, there are what are called dioceses in the church hierarchy. In 2018, we created a website www.bip.cz for the Plzeň bishopric. The website also includes an intranet section for employees of the bishopric and priests in the diocese. They can manage internal documents here, share and send online forms, reserve meeting rooms for business meetings, etc. Thus, in addition to the goal of informing the public, the website serves the purpose ofincreasing the efficiency of the work of the bishopric employees. We are currently finalizing the preparation of new websites for the Diocese of České Budějovice and are negotiating collaborations with other dioceses.
Religious Orders
The projectwww.rehole.cz presents the spirituality and activities of religious communities in the Czech Republic. We created the website in 2019 and give the public an insight into the activities of individual orders. Among the typical sectors in which the orders operated before the communist coup are social care, healthcare, and education. Currently, the orders are returning to these activities. Successful examples include, for instance, the Hospital of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo in Prague, the Hospital of the Brothers of Mercy in Brno, hospices, and many social facilities, as well as prestigious church schools and gymnasiums. An interesting segment of activity is the manual production of food and dietary supplements.
Religious Tourism
A new phenomenon arising from restitutions is religious tourism. The church strives to gradually reconstruct the returned property and, in case of tourist potential, either rent it out or operate it itself. Successful examples include the Franciscan sisters from Olomouc, who sensitively renovated a Renaissance burgher house in the town center, creating both a residence for their community and a cozy café and guesthouse. This sensitive renovation of a Renaissance burgher house into a guesthouse earned the sisters the Building of the Year 2018 award from the Olomouc region. In 2019, we created a websitewww.sestrynp.cz for their community, restaurant, and guesthouse, which also includes a reservation system and management of room availability.

In the heart of the Krkonoš in Špindlerův Mlýn, the Eljon center has been operating for many years. Its origin is associated with the person of Catholic priest P. Jiří Šlégr. After his arrival in the local parish in 1997, he, along with the founder of the hospice movement in the Czech Republic, Dr. Marie Svatošová, created the project "Outstretched Hand" to help patients' relatives and employees of the Anežka Česká Hospice in Červený Kostelec. Based on this, the project named "Eljon Center in Špindlerův Mlýn" was established, which was directly engaged in the renovation of the old Catholic rectory in Špindlerův Mlýn and its use. The entire renovation was completed in the autumn of 2003 and since then it has been a welcome destination for many visitors to the Krkonoš. For Eljon, we created a new website in 2020 www.eljon.cz, which includes a reservation system for visitors and management of room availability for the website administrators.

Social Facilities
Adjacent to the baroque complex of Kuks in the heart of Eastern Bohemia lies the Žireč complex and the St. Joseph Home for clients with multiple sclerosis. It is the only healthcare facility of its kind in the Czech Republic. Within the Žireč complex, you will find St. Joseph Home for clients with multiple sclerosis. There is also an herbal garden, a cycling museum, and a café for the general public. There is a unique connection between the world of clients often in an advanced stage of illness and ordinary visitors from the general public. For the Žireč complex, we created a presentation websitewww.arealzirec.cz and received for this web presentation the prestigious Minister's Award for Local Development for the Best Tourist Presentation in 2020.
